All Kinds of Roofing

Roofing

In the summer months we split into two crews and one crew roofs all season. We install three in one shingles, architectural shingles and metal roofing. For lower slope roofs we install low slope, torch down or rubber membrane which ever best suits the job. We also install new roof decking whenever it is needed.

Shingle Installation

When istalling a new shingle roof we always recommend removing the old shingles. If needed we install 7/16 osb for new roof decking. Then new drip edge, eaveguard along the bottom and in any valleys, and felt on the rest of the roof. Then the shingles are installed. Ridge vents are also recommended when it is possible. They are a very good source of ventalation.

Metal Roof Installation

When istalling a metal roof, removing the old is not always needed. If needed we remove the old roofing. We then install purlins, then the sheating. As we are installing the sheat metal we install the rack edge, transition flashing, ridge cap, and any other flashing that is needed.

Low Slope Installation

When installing low slope roofing removing the old roof is not always needed. If it is we remove the old roof, then make sure that the decking is sound. Then we install which ever roofing is being used. Low Slope is a self stick roofing that needs to be installed on new or fairly new osb or plywood. A primer is applied to the decking and then the roofing is rolled out. Torch down is put down with a torch. A fiber base sheet is installed and then the roofing is melted over it. Rubber membrane is sheets of rubber that are glued to the roof deck. A high density board is installed then the membrane is glued to it.
